Armin T. Wegner Street in Yerevan

Armin T. Wegner visited Armenia twice during his lifetime. His initial visit occurred in 1927, after attending the festivities in Moscow commemorating the 10th anniversary of the October Revolution.

Wegner’s second visit was an official one, taking place in 1968 at the invitation of Catholicos Vazgen I. On this occasion, he received the Order of Saint Gregory the Illuminator, the highest honor bestowed by the Armenian nation, in recognition of his humanitarian efforts. Additionally, a street in Yerevan, the capital city, was renamed in his honor.
