Carlo Massa honored at the 6th Annual Arpa International Film Festival in Hollywood by “Armin T. Wegner Award”

Director and producer Carlo Massa was the inaugural recipient of the Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian Award in 2003 for his documentary film “Destination: Nowhere – The Witness”. The award ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 12, 2003.

“Destination: Nowhere – The Witness” recounts the 1915 Armenian Genocide through the images and letters of eyewitness Armin Theophil Wegner, a German army health officer stationed in Ottoman Turkey. Despite his protests, Wegner faced lifelong silence. Los Angeles Times critic Kevin Thomas praised Massa’s documentary as “revealing and eloquent”.

Carlo Massa, a political science graduate and author of two books, has produced numerous documentaries and served as curator of Italian radio RAI for 10 years.
